About Molly BrownMolly Brown is a life-long Christian with global evangelistic experience who is interested in the world’s political events as they relate to Biblical teaching. A retired regisered nurse, Brown says she has “. . .ministered to the best of my ability to many patients that needed extra TLC.” In the late 60s, Brown met Jesus on a personal level while involved with the University of Kentucky Campus Crusade for Christ. A few years later, she became the first President of the Christian Women’s Club in Lexington, an international group that reaches thousands of women through secular and spiritual programs. This was followed by evangelistic trips to such places as the Phillipines, Mexico and Honduras on Crusades that encompassed health aspects and Biblical truths. Today, Brown resides in the Metro Atlanta area where she attends church, is active with Habitat for Humanity and conducts a Bible Study in her neighborhood. “Spirit Matters” is fortunate that she is willing to share her experiences and the life lessons she has learned from her spiritual walk. sm |

I want to share from my heart
some Truths that led me to spiritual renewal and to discovery of the
inward strength that we all need for coping with today’s world. As a young woman, I learned that I needed to know who this Jesus really is, what the nature of God is truly like, and found in John 8:32 that, “If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.” In order to know, we have to read and study God’s word, the Bible, and be accountable to other fellow believers. My husband and I had the opportunity to live in Jerusalem for a year preceeding the 1967 war between the Israelies and Palestinians. On the trip home, we |
visited Russia, went through the Berlin Wall, traveled the Siberian train across Russia visiting Irkutsk, Kabarovsk and on to Japan. T hroughout this period, we took slides of these countrys little knowing the great purpose they would be put to later. After our return to the USA, I prayed with a Campus Crusade worker to invite Jesus into my heart in a new and meaningful way so that I would become the woman God intended me to be––fully forgiven, loved and able to experience the peace and freedom that Christ offers those who trust in Him. I shared our wonderful slides with the Campus Crusade students and told them about Brother Andrew’s book, “God’s Smuggler” which relates the story of how he smuggled Bibles into Communist Russia while God miraculously closed the eyes of the border guards. This is a present day miracle as religious freedom isn’t an exclusive Constitutional right of Americans but is the spiritual legacy of all. Read this life-changing book about God’s |
